This year, World Cosplay Summit Australia and SMASH! are proud to host the
WCS Australian Preliminary Competition in Sydney, Australia on the 20th and 21st of July 2024.


Teams of 2 compete in a skit based competition where 
 

• The costumes are handmade

• The work must be a Japanese manga, anime, video game, or tokusatsu character

• Stage performance judging time is 2 minutes and 30 seconds

• Background screen can be used as a stage direction

• Rank will be determined by the sum of the costume and stage performance judging

 

The Winning Cosplay Team will be invited to compete in the 
World Cosplay Summit Championship as  
Team Australia 2025!
